DataPenny is software you run on your own Cloudflare account. Visits and sales recorded by a self-hosted install stay in that account, and we never receive them.
The self-hosted product
Your install has no license server and sends us no telemetry. It only contacts the services you use:
- Your payment providers, to receive sales and, if you ask, import past ones.
- Telegram, if you turn on alerts.
- Frankfurter, for daily exchange rates. Only currency codes and dates are sent.
The dashboard runs in your browser. It loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap and site icons from DuckDuckGo, and those services can see your IP address as with any web request.
If you run DataPenny on your site, you decide what it collects and you’re responsible for telling your visitors. Our docs describe each privacy mode.
This website
This site sets no cookies, and has no analytics or advertising.
It’s hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep short-lived logs such as IP addresses to keep the site secure. Fonts load from this site. The globe on the home page loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap, which can see your IP address as with any web request. The demo runs on sample data in your browser.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and the time you joined. We use it to tell you about the launch and early access, and nothing else. Ask and we’ll delete it.
If you write to us, we use your message to reply, and keep the conversation so we can help you later. Ask and we’ll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you further rights, and we’ll honor them. Contact us to make a request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
